Freedom Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to acknowledge You as the infinite Sovereign over all creation.

I rejoice and take refuge in the certainty that You are my God, You dwell in the heavens, and You do whatever pleases You. (Psalm 115:3)

I acknowledge that Your purposes stand forever, and cannot be opposed by men, angels, principalities, powers or any other creature. (Isaiah 46:10; Romans 8:38-39)

I thank You that You are a God who loves righteousness and justice, and that the earth is full of your unfailing love (Psalm 33:5)

I thank You that You are compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love for Your people (Psalm 103:8)

I thank You that in Christ You have loved me from eternity with a love that surpasses knowledge (Ephesians 1: 4-5, 3:19)

I thank You that You have forgiven all my sins and transgressions (Colossians 2:13), and have removed them from me as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12).

I acknowledge that in Your sovereign wisdom You are the Most High God Who transforms curse into blessing (Numbers 23:7-24:10), Who infallibly brings good out of evil (Genesis 50:20), Who takes the crafty in their craftiness (1 Corinthians 3:19), and, in the greatest irony of all, appoints death as the way to life (Galatians 2:20).

I come boldly before You this day, solely on the merits of my Savior, Lord, and Counselor, Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, to ask You to remove the curses that have been imposed on me in the past, and turn them into the blessings that are mine in Christ.

I ask that You would give me the strength to pray this prayer, and I bind all attempts of satan to interfere with my supplication.

I ask that You would, as David prayed, unite my heart, my whole inner self, to praise Your name and petition Your throne (Psalm 86:11)

Open the entire system of personalities that have been formed by the curses of satan, and cause them to join me in prayer. Do not allow those personalities, which are still in bondage to satan’s lies to interfere. Make them rather to listen quietly as I pray.

Do not allow those personalities that have been formed as a habitation for satan’s demons, or the inhabiting demons themselves, to interfere with my petitions.

Ordain and appoint for me that I might pray in the energy, power and enablement of the Holy Spirit whose power as the representative of the living Christ is greater than any power of hell.

I begin by acknowledging, as did Jeremiah (Jeremiah 14:20), Daniel (Daniel 9:4-19) and Nehemiah (Nehemiah 9:2-37), that I am linked to the guilt of my ancestors and their rebellion against You.

I renounce the sins of my father and mother, and all the ancestors of my past, known and unknown, whose sins in one measure or another have been visited upon me. Through the power of the precious blood of my Lord Jesus Christ, I affirm that I have been redeemed from all the consequences of their empty, unbelieving way of life, transmitted to me in their sins and rebellion against you (1 Peter 1:18-19). In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I break al the strongholds of the powers of darkness because of the sinful ground given by my generational lineage going back three and four generations (Exodus 20:5). I claim the death, burial and resurrection of my Lord Jesus Christ as that which sets me free from any and all generational curses, and which alone has the power to reverse and set free both me and my children from all generational transfer of the powers of darkness.

I specifically renounce any involvements of my father and mother and all my ancestors, known and unknown, in false religions, occult practices, witchcraft and satanism.

I renounce ever signing my name over to Satan or having my name signed over to Satan. I announce that my name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

I renounce any ceremony where I may have been wed to Satan. I announce that I am the bride of Christ.

I renounce any and all covenants that I made with Satan. I announce that I am a beneficiary of and participant in the New Covenant, which has brought me into union with my Lord Jesus Christ.

I renounce ever giving of my blood in the service of Satan. I announce that I trust only in the shed blood of my Lord Jesus Christ.

I renounce ever eating of flesh or drinking of blood in Satanic worship, whether acquired from animal or human sacrifice or both. In faith I celebrate the Lord’s Supper by taking communion remembering that You gave Your life to same mine eternally.

I renounce any ceremonies or rituals that I have participated in to placate or gain the favor and power of satan. I announce that Jesus alone drank the cup of God’s wrath for me, and that through the sacrifice of Christ, all the claims of God’s righteousness against my sins have been satisfied, and therefore that I stand fully accepted in the Beloved One, God’s only Son.

I renounce any and all guardians and satanic parents that were assigned to me.

I announce that God is my Father (Romans 8:15), and that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Shepherd and Guardian of my soul (1 Peter 2:25) through the Holy Spirit who dwells in me, and by whom I am sealed unto final redemption (Ephesians 1:13-14) I renounce any and all curses that were placed upon me as a part of the worship of satan.

I announce that my Lord Jesus Christ became a curse for me when He was nailed to the cross (Galatians 3:13)

I reject all satanic assignments, programs, and responses that were placed in altars brought into existence to hold me in bondage to satan and the powers of darkness.

I accept only God’s assignments and purposes for me in Christ.

I reject and bind any and all cultic spirits, who have been assigned to hold me in bondage to specific sins, curses, or spells, thereby maintaining satan’s continued control in my life.

I affirm that I have been rescued from the kingdom of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of God’s Beloved Son (Colossians 1:13), and that I am now the willing servant of my Lord Jesus Christ alone, and I am dedicated to seeking and advancing His kingdom and righteousness (Romans 6:17-22).

I reject any and all false memories satan has planted in my mind of any altars designed to traumatize and hold me in bondage to a false past. I acknowledge that the Lord Jesus Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit are the custodians of the truth about my past, and they will sovereignly bring to mind those memories through which they intend to bring the gifts of healing and freedom to me.

I renounce the work of satan which has made me a receptacle for demonic power headed by a lead ranking spirit named Death, and by which my life, identity, thoughts, and functioning have been confused and cursed. I announce that by His death, Christ has rendered powerless the one who has the power of death, satan himself (Hebrews 2:14); that my life is now hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3), and my identity and functioning are based on who I am in Christ.

I acknowledge that my own sins, and not just the sins of my ancestors, have contributed to my bondage. I repent of all the sin that satan has used as ground to expand his power and control in my life. I ask that you would reveal those sins to me, and then deepen my repentance from them, so that the work of the Holy Spirit in forming Christ in me is not hindered (Galatians 4:19).

I bind all wicked spirits involved in carrying out the curse of satan against me, and command them to reverse their work. I turn every curse of satan sent against me back on satan and all his wicked host, who have been appointed to oversee and carry out those curses against me.

I acknowledge, Lord Jesus, that You are my Shepherd, and that You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies (Psalm 23:5). I pray that the table You prepare before my enemies will become their snare, retribution and trap. May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be broken forever. Pour out your wrath on them; let Your fierce anger overtake them (Psalm 69:22-24). Cast them out of the temple of my body, and to the place of your assignment. You are the Lord who hears the needy, and You do not despise Your captive people (Psalm 69:33); You came to set the captives free, and I claim that freedom in Your name (Isaiah 61:1).

I pray with David,

“Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me. Take up shield and buckler; arise and come to my aid. Brandish spear and javelin against those who pursue me. Say to my soul, “I am your salvation.” May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; May those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay. May they be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of the Lord driving them away; may their path be dark and slippery, with the angel of the Lord pursuing them. Since they hid their net for me without cause and without cause dug a pit for me, may ruin overtake them by surprise —may the net they hid entangle them, may they fall into the pit, to their ruin. Then my soul will rejoice in the Lord and delight in His salvation.” (Psalm 35:1-9).

O Lord, the ancient enemy of Your people has raised himself up as the enemy of my soul. satan has attempted to devour me with his curses—may those curses be turned to devour him. He loves to pronounce curses—may his love become his judgment, and that which he sends be that which he receives back. He wears cursing as his garments of glory. May his curses against me become garments of disgrace which he cannot remove. May this be Your payment to my adversary and accuser, O Lord God. Deal well with me, O Sovereign Lord, for Your name’s sake, out of the goodness of Your love deliver me. For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me. I have been crushed by the assault of my enemy. I am an object of satan’s scorn.

Help me, O Lord my God; Save me in accordance with Your love. Let satan and his wicked host know that it is Your hand, O Lord, that has rescued me. They may curse, but You will bless. From this moment forward, when they attack they will be put to shame, but I will rejoice. AMEN!
